In his first overseas attempt in 2007, Vengeance Of Rain snatched a sensational victory in the 2007 Dubui Sheema Classic from a field of international champions. This was his first Group 1 win outside Hong Kong. His total stakes have shot up to HK$75 million in his racing history.

Vengeance Of Rain won 6 of his 9 starts over 2000 metres at Sha Tin, including the 2005 Mercedes-Benz Hong Kong Derby, Audemars Piguet QE II Cup and Cathay Pacific Hong Kong Cup, and by winning the latter two races, he was crowned Champion of the 2005 World Racing Championships.Vengeance Of Rain was elected the Champion Middle-Distance Horse of 2005/06. He ranked 5th in the 2005/06 World Rankings, being the highest-ranked middle-distance horse on turf. In early 2006, he was spelled in New Zealand for six months to recover his form. His performance has been encouraging since his return in late 2006, running 3rd in the Cathay Pacific Hong Kong Cup and winning the Hong Kong Gold Cup (HK Group 1) on 4 March 2007. Vengeance Of Rain retired at Cambridge Stud in New Zealand from February 2008. He died at the Cambridge Stud in New Zealand on 25th October 2011.
